Tuaran, Sabah | May 3, 2026 — The Tuaran Strongest Man 2026 (Men’s Open Novice) competition concluded in spectacular fashion as part of the Karnival Kebudayaan & Sukan Tradisi, Pesta Kaamatan Tuaran 2026, held at Pekan Tamparuli.
The event showcased rising talents in the strongman scene, with athletes battling through classic disciplines including the Farmers Walk, Tyre Flip, Stone Over Bar, and Log Press — a true test of strength, endurance, and mental toughness.
After a fiercely contested competition, Leandro David emerged as the overall champion with 41.00 points, edging out his closest rival by a razor-thin margin.

The narrow 0.5-point gap between first and second place highlighted the intensity of the competition, even at the novice level.
The champion took home RM800 and a trophy, followed by RM500 for second place and RM300 for third place, with prizes awarded up to 10th place.
Organized with the support of the Tuaran District Office and managed by KDCA Tuaran, the event successfully combined sport, culture, and community spirit, drawing strong local engagement.
