PENAMPANG, SABAH, 20 September 2026 — Selangor strongman Syahir Osman emerged as the Open category champion at the Rhythm of Borneo Strongman 2026, held in Penampang, Sabah.
Syahir delivered a commanding performance to finish the competition with 45 points, securing the top spot with an eight-point advantage over his nearest challengers.
The battle for second and third place was extremely close, with Hizad of Labuan and Alder of Sabah both finishing on 37 points. Based on the official results, Hizad took second place, while Alder completed the podium in third.
Another Labuan athlete, Desmond, finished fourth with 35 points, while Sabah’s Francis Fly rounded out the top five with 32.5 points.

Melviston claimed the Novice title with 40 points, narrowly finishing ahead of Fauzee, who secured second place with 38 points.
Maximus finished third with 37 points, followed by Zeze in fourth with 35 points. Yong Yung Haw completed the top five with a total of 31 points.
